Collaborative Practice offers an alternative to litigation. While each party is represented by an attorney, the pledge is to reach an agreement without going to court.
In the collaborative process you and your spouse or partner make the decisions yourselves, rather than giving that responsibility to a judge. In order to accomplish that, all of the parties consent in writing to work together to reach an out-of-court resolution.
With Collaborative Practice, the goal is to develop effective relationships, solve problems jointly and prevent a court battle.
